Over the past five years I have worked to improve my understanding of HTML and CSS code, beginning with classes at Shepherd University. There I worked my way through lessons on Code Academy, in tandem with professor guidance and research through W3Schools. After completing two courses that involved code and learning that I enjoy using it, for my graduating project I created a website so as to further my knowledge in the area.

My dedication to creating a website has encouraged me to pursue a career in web development. The project also showed me where my weaknesses lie, so that I can work on improving them. Currently, I am working on learning PHP and Javascript in tandem with database usage. I intend to obtain various code certifications in the future.

This year I successfully completed obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree in Communication & New Media at Shepherd University with a minor in English. Over the course of my time there I learned my way around several Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Audition, Premiere, and After Effects.
